This guide outlines the 2026 Air Force 2-mile run standards under the updated DAFMAN 36-2905 scoring tables. Scoring thresholds adjust dynamically based on your age and gender. To calculate your complete score, including strength, core, and body composition components, use our interactive tool.
Overview of the Cardio Component
The cardiorespiratory component is the most heavily weighted event of the Physical Fitness Readiness Assessment (PFRA), carrying a maximum value of 50 points (half of the total score). The 2-mile run serves as the primary cardiorespiratory event. Airmen must achieve a minimum time to pass, which awards 30 points (representing the 60% component floor). Running a time slower than this floor results in an automatic assessment failure.
